I had quite a popular toot about this alleyway: https://en.osm.town/@harry_wood/114435468579050630 or maybe a lot of people sharing my sadness at a loss of a London alleyway.

It’s fascinating how the omission of rival railway lines mirrors modern Tube map quirks. The inclusion of pub signboards and bus routes must have made it quite practical for day-trippers back then.

But it doesn’t explain why the train seems to have crossed on to the opposite tracks coming out of the tunnel at White City.
It is useful to know the link with the surface street plan as sometimes walking at street level is a good option in Central London.

A veritable feast for the eyes, particularly the array of light and dark blue hues. I must admit, the red route does indeed pop out effectively, though I cant help but imagine it looks rather lonely against that sea of blue, like a brave sausage in a giant blue cheese salad. Good luck to all the runners – youre certainly embarking on a similar tour of central London landmarks for sure!
