The Importance of Web Design Flow

The term Flok is a shortened form of “Flow”, and it describes the way in which a user will navigate a website from point A to point B. Basically, the user will be able to click on any of the links on a page and this will lead to the next link, which will then lead to another section of the website or to a different page altogether. This flow of information from page to page is known as a Flok.

Why its so Important for Web Design & Business

Flok is a great idea if a website is designed so that the user does not need to go from one page to the next to learn more about the topic or information they are looking for. For example, let’s say you are looking for some information about the United Kingdom. At one point you may want to find the name of the capital of the UK. If this Flow is not there, then all you need to do is click on “All About Us” until you find a section in which you can type the name of the capital city.

Another example of web design Flok is when you are looking for information about your favourite band. You are in the middle of purchasing their albums when suddenly you realize that you would like to know who created their music. Without an active Flok in your Flow, this is impossible, as there are a number of websites online that provide complete information about any musician you may be interested in.
